It is a rich and moisturizing all-purpose soap that can cleanse and rejuvenate your skin, body and hair, ideal to use on sensitive, oily, dry and problematic skin. It is renowned for revealing healthy and radiant skin through healing a plethora of skin problems such as acne, hyper-pigmentation, discoloration, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, skin rashes, scalp irritations, body odor as well as acting as a makeup remover due to its deep cleaning properties

Ingredients:

Roasted Cocoa Pods, Plantain Skin, Ash, Palm Oil, Shea Butter, Water.

Storage: Normal shelf life is 24 months. To prolong the shelf life of the our African black soap, keep it in a cool and dry area.

After using your black soap in the shower you can then store it in an air-tight container or zip-lock bag in a cooler and drier section of the house.

  • Useful in reliveing acne, clearing blemishes, bumps, and many other skin issues.
  • Gives skin a deep clean, leaving it radiant and healthy.
  • The same women who make black soap choose to use only black soap on their babies, as its purity makes it gentle and non-drying for babies’ sensitive skin.
  • For centuries, Africans have used black soap to help relieve acne, oily skin, clear blemishes and various other skin issues.
  • Many Africans swear by black soap for treating eczema and psoriasis.
  • Women in Africa will use black soap during pregnancy and afterwards to keep them from getting stretch marks and to protect them from dry skin that is often accompanied by pregnancy.
  • Black soap can also be used as a hair shampoo. The shea butter in the soap softens the hair, while the vitamins give it strength.
  • It is also great for removing makeup.

How to use: As with any natural products, we always recommend a patch test 48 hours before use. If irritation occurs, please discontinue use.

Either cut a small part of the soap or rub your hands or sponge/scrub on the soap lather with water and enjoy your shower. The soaps lather extremely well so a little will go a very long way.

For some individuals Raw African soap can be drying. It is best to follow up with a good moisturizer such as Raw African Shea Butter. Please avoid contact with eyes.

DO NOT rub or apply the soap directly on the skin and face. This soap may contain small particles of plantains that could scratch or cause irritation. Lather soap in washcloth, sponge, or loofah and apply to face, body, or hair.

We Recommend:To use our Authentic Traditional African Black Soap  with our Exfoliating African Bath sponge

Shipping FAQs

1. Where do you ship?

We offer world wide shipping. Including APO/FPO.

International Orders: If there are additional taxes, customs fees  or  any other fees associated with your order. This will be billed to the customer.

2. Do you ship to PO Boxes?

We do offer shipping to PO Boxes and US-based courier forwarding services.

3. What If my products melt during transit?

During transit and during warmer months, your products are prone to changing textures such as softening or even melting due to extreme temperatures.

If this occurs, prior to opening your jar, place the items in your refrigerator for a few hours to allow them to harden. DO NOT OPEN TO CHECK FOR MELTING BEFORE REFRIGERATION. This can cause spilling which will result in loss of product.

Our hand-whipped process adds tiny air bubbles that increase the volume, just like whipping cream. If a whipped product melts, the air bubbles collapse and the volume is decreased.

So, although the jar was filled to the top initially, there will be less volume in the container (since it has deflated) and the container may actually look half full.

After cooling, a melted Whipped Butter will be the consistency of a body balm and is still a great moisturizer!

4. Can I change an incorrect address?

You may email shameemn@dumambili.com within 12 hours of placing your order to make any changes to your address. Once the 12 hour timeframe has passed, no changes will be made.
